Pier Dominguez

Pier Dominguez has written about "Long Island Lolita" Amy Fisher for New York Newsday and is the author of Christina Aguilera: A Star is Made, an unauthorized biography of the pop star that appeared in both The New York Times and the New York Post's "Page Six."
 

A summa cum laude graduate of New York University's Gallatin School, he received his M.A. from Columbia University and is currently a doctoral student in the American Studies program at Brown University. He has presented papers on the cultural politics of Susan Sontag's celebrity, the racial/sexual in/stabilities of men's underwear advertising in u.s. visual culture, and the queer aesthetics of the film Myra Breckinridge.

His forthcoming work is the first comprehensive look at Mariah Carey.
